Handbell Musicians of America is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the musical art of handbell/handchime ringing through education, community and communication. HMA is composed of 12 regional areas covering the United States. Area 5 comprises the states of Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Each state is represented by a state chair.

Your Area 5 state chairs support ringing education and activities in our states on a local level. We are a great resource of information and support to help you build and maintain handbell and handchime programs in your community, churches, and schools. Handbell ringing is alive and well in our Area and we want to see it continue to grow! Feel free to email us with any questions or concerns, or just to introduce yourself!
