Area 5 is dedicated to helping handbell musicians in our five-state area with all aspects of handbell ringing. We understand the value of personalized instruction, and aim to provide opportunities for one-on-one learning using our network of clinicians who are willing to travel to your location to provide focused sessions on the topics that you need most. Share your goals with us, and we’ll connect you with a clinician who can provide the instruction you need.

How it works

Please fill out our information request form to let us know what you need. Some examples of topics we can cover are:

• Beginning to advanced bell techniques
• Strategies for making music with small ensembles
• Director support like conducting/rehearsal techniques, bell assignments, and repertoire selection
• Bell maintenance

We will reach out to you for more information if necessary, and work with you to find a location, date, and clinician that suits your group. Our goal is to make this an accessible opportunity for all; cost may vary depending on clinician, distance traveled, length of workshop, etc.
